It’s quick and easy to both install and uninstall EQUS – below are instructions for doing either:
Installing EQUS
The distribution of EQUS is available at www.veryvizsolutions.com. When you get EQUS you will receive an email with a “registration key” and a link to a setup file. To install EQUS, make sure you are connected to the internet then download and open the setup.exe file.
At this point it would sensible to close any running Excel programs and make sure you are still connected to the internet. Your system will ask you to confirm that you are ready to install software from VeryViz.
To install, click the ‘Install’ button!
Now the software is installed, when you first start Excel you will be directed to the terms and conditions of the software and asked to confirm that you accept them, and you’ll be asked to give your “registration key”.
Enter the key and if it is valid, the EQUS plugin will run. (You will be asked to enter the key again if you want to use EQUS on another machine, so keep the key safe.)
You can tell EQUS is installed because there will be a new ribbon tab called EQUS.
If the key you have does not work, it may be because it has expired or you are attempting to use EQUS on more machines than that key allows.
If EQUS is installed but not activated with Excel:
Click the File tab, click Options and then click the Add-ins category.
Then in the Manage box, click COM Add-ins, and then click Go. The COM Add-ins dialog box appears.
Then in the Add-ins available box, select the check box next to EQUS, and then click OK.

Uninstalling EQUS
If you really want to remove EQUS completely from your machine, you can uninstall it by going to the Control Panel, and then the Add/Remove Programs section and uninstall the program called “ExcelAddIn2”.
Alternatively, you can deactivate the EQUS plug-in by:
Clicking the File tab, click Options and then click the Add-ins category. Then in the Manage box, click COM Add-ins, and then click Go.
The COM Add-ins dialog box appears.
Finally, in the Add-ins available box, de-select the check box next to EQUS, and then click OK.
